How to get Robux in Australia: buying, Premium, gift cards and what to avoid

Option 1: Buy Robux directly on Roblox

The quickest route is the official Robux page. You choose an amount, pay with an accepted method and the Robux is added to your account.

Packages, prices and bonuses change from time to time, and prices are shown in your local currency. Always check the current options on the official page before buying.

Option 2: Roblox Premium

Roblox Premium is a membership subscription with extra benefits. One of the main ones is a Robux stipend paid once every month while your membership is active. Premium also gives access to trading features.

If you play often and spend Robux regularly, Premium can be a more predictable way to receive Robux than one-off purchases. Compare the current tiers on the official Premium page.

Remember that it is a subscription: it renews automatically unless it is cancelled before the renewal date.

Option 3: Roblox gift cards

Roblox gift cards are a popular present. You redeem the card on the official redeem page, and its value is stored in your account as Roblox Credit.

You can then use that credit to buy Robux or a Premium membership. When you pay, choose Roblox Credit if you have already redeemed the card.

If you use credit for Premium, keep in mind that the membership renews automatically, and your credit must cover the full price at renewal.

Option 4: Earn Robux as a creator

Roblox is also a creation platform. Creators can earn Robux by selling things inside their experiences, such as passes, developer products and subscriptions, and through Marketplace items.

This takes time and effort, but it is the official way to earn Robux rather than buy it. Everything starts in Roblox Studio and the Creator Hub.

Can earned Robux become real money?

Roblox runs the Developer Exchange Program (DevEx), which lets eligible creators exchange Earned Robux for real-world local currency.

The requirements are strict. Among others, you must be at least 13 years old, have at least 30,000 Earned Robux, a verified email address, a DevEx portal account and the right tax form on file (a W-8 for non-U.S. taxpayers).

Robux you buy does not count: DevEx only applies to Robux earned by creating value on the platform.

What about free Robux generators?

Pages that promise thousands of free Robux if you enter your username, pick an amount and press a button can look very convincing.

But no website outside Roblox can add Robux to your account. Generators, “secret codes” and tools that claim to inject Robux are a warning sign and are often used to steal accounts.

Be especially careful if a page asks for your password, a download, a survey with personal details or the code from a gift card.

Avoid off-platform Robux deals

You may see people offering cheap Robux, accounts or items on social media, chat apps or unknown websites.

These deals are risky: you have little protection if the other person does not deliver, and sharing account access can mean losing everything on it.

A note for parents and guardians

Many Roblox players are young. If a child wants Robux, it is a good idea to choose the option together, set a budget and check the account's parental controls and spending settings.

Gift cards can be a simple way to set a fixed amount without saving a card on the account.
